MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and professional Vice President of Mission & Employment Services to join our Rehab Management team! Qualifications

A Masters Degree in non-profit management, social services, counseling, program development, HR, or a closely related field is required.  A minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing and/or operation, budgeting, and social services is also required.  5 years of experience managing grants and programs can be substituted for a Masters Degree.  The VP of Mission and Employment Services possesses leadership abilities, communication and listening skills, excellent written communication skills, and the ability to read for details and understand financials. 

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

  • Work with the CEO to execute all strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Monitor existing platforms for grant and funding opportunities that align with the mission, strategic plan, and financial needs of the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal leaders and external state, local, and community leaders to develop opportunities to expand services and funding for the agency's mission and strategic plan.
  • Monitor grant and program performance against stated goals, communicate progress, and develop plans to remediate issues where they exist.
  • Ensure that grant renewals, licenses, accreditations, and contracts are completed promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain active and broad external engagement to ensure awareness of local community needs and opportunities and ensure the agency is prepared and positioned to meet those needs.
  • Provide operational support and high-level oversight of grant operations as assigned by CEO.
  • Plan and monitor the development of innovative and scalable cross-department programs that support agency employees.
  • Work with outcome systems and agency databases to track and report agency data.
  • Travel locally up to 20%.
