Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with Computer Science, MIS, or related focus required; Master's Degree in IT or Business Administration preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in information technology and 5+ years of senior management experience.
- Valid state driver's license. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including customer service, conflict resolution, change management, and public speaking.
- Excellent strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Leadership skills, including quality decision-making, goal setting, organizational digital transformation, and problem-solving using analytical, creative, and critical-thinking skills.
- The ability to motivate and lead employees and hold them accountable.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing strategic business and financial plans with the Executive management team to meet organizational goals within budget, identify opportunities for technology improvements, and drive change.
- Responsible for developing, planning, executing, and managing all technology areas, including Infrastructure, Security, Networking, Business Applications, Integrations, Cloud technologies, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), serverless, and software as a service (SaaS) and Data Management.
- Also responsible for guiding and improving processes related to Disaster Recovery, Proactive Monitoring, ITIL, SDLC within Agile and DevOps frameworks, Project Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, workforce management solutions, and Technology Governance.
- Using an ITIL approach, oversees daily operation aspects of the IT department.
- Ensures integration and implementation of applications, database, network, and related agency systems.
- Oversees vendor management, RFP processes, technical budget, and financial allocations.
- Establishes close partnerships with division and department leaders to assess organizational capabilities and gaps, gather technical requirements, define objectives, and measure outcomes
- Model core values while promoting a results-based service and project management culture.
- Provide superior internal and external customer service.
- Attend or participate in various administrative, departmental, and board meetings to coordinate activities, resolve problems, and discuss inter-related procedures, responsibilities, and general reporting.
- Maintains knowledge of market, competition, best practices, and trends in IT and related strategies.
- Safeguards company property and personal information from harm, damage, or theft.
- Must read, follow, model, and enforce all agency policies, procedures, and values.
