Qualifications

  • High school degree: associate or bachelor's degree in human services preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-years' experience in social services or supervising production.
  • Must display supervisory and leadership abilities; ability to observe and work well with people; good written/verbal communication skills.
  • CPR, First Aid and other training as required.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, and supervises the procedure for performing sub-contract work assigned by the Workshop Director.
  • Arranges equipment, methods, and workflow to get efficient production and maximum utilization of participant's abilities.
  • Schedules production, and establishes quality and quantity control in accordance with customer's specifications and deadlines.
  • Assigns participants to workshop tasks in accordance with their abilities and interests, provides training in specific procedures to be followed, and supervises.
  • Maintains production records on contracts and on individual sheltered participants as well as other financial and production records required by the Wage-Hour Department, funding source, or other governmental agencies.
  • Works with Case Manager to track sheltered employees progress on self-selected goals and completes all paperwork. 
  • Demonstrates ability to provide leadership, motivate sheltered employees, and work with coworkers.
  • Provide an organized, clean, safe environment for sheltered employees and check daily to ensure this environment is maintained.
  • Other duties as assigned
