MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and professional SkillUp Excel Specialist to join our North County Excel Center team! Qualifications

A high school degree is required. A bachelor’s degree and experience in the social service field is preferred. Requires ability to work well with a diverse population; possess excellent written/verbal communication skills. Must possess; driver's license, vehicle, insurance and ability/willingness to travel occasionally.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive intake and orientation on all students receiving SNAP.
  • Process funding applications for all students.
  • Correspond with FSD to confirm students’ funding eligibility and report participation in the SkillUP Program.
  • Identify and appropriately assign funding in Synergy and on the Google Active Sheets.
  • Complete student enrollment into the SkillUP Program utilizing the MOJobs database.
  • Update and maintain student information in two data bases, Synergy and MOJobs.
  • Capture and report employment and credentials in accordance with SkillUP policy and Excel performance measures.
  • Provide resources, referrals and services to students to remove barriers, support their education/training goals and increase their overall employability. Provide support after graduation to secure and maintain employment.  
  • Work as part of the Excel High School team along with Excel Life Coaches and teachers.  Participate in team meetings, iExcel, graduations, and other events. 
  • Update MOJobs no less than every 30 days to capture students’ progress and services provided by the Excel High School team.
  • Learn and implement Missouri Family Support Division’s SkillUP policy.  
  • Network and conduct outreach to increase student enrollment at the Excel Center.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of community resources to support the needs of the students.
  • Complete agency paperwork, correspondence, and data entry in a tly.
