MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and professional Coordinator - Autism Employment Services to join our Lippman - Autism Program team! MERS Goodwill's Autism Employment Program helps individuals on the Autism Spectrum prepare for the world of work through 1:1 support, social skills groups, community volunteering, placement services, and continued job supports. Our staff assists participants in building individualized programs designed around their strengths and support needs.
 
Responsibilities in this position include the coordination and supervision of Autism Employment Services. This involves supervising staff, managing an individualized caseload, and providing case management, vocational counseling, and job support to individuals referred to the program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field and a minimum of 2 years' experience serving a similar program population is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience is required.
  • Ability to observe and work well with staff and participants.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills are required.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

  • Maintains working knowledge of CARF or other governing body standards and ensures their implementation on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintains knowledge of Federal, State, and internal guidelines and policy to ensure compliance and implementation.
  • Assists with program/participant/staff issues that require supervision, problem solving, or intervention.
  • Develops and maintains active partnerships with referral sources.
  • Maintains a consistent pattern of referrals and enrollments appropriate for maximum utilization of staff and/or to meet funding requirements.
  • Reviews community activities used to ensure relevance for participant interests/abilities, plan development, and goal progress.
  • Reviews documentation related to team workload, such as progress notes and/or hours billed if appropriate for staff supervised, to ensure quality services and maximum utilization of staff.
  • Reviews monthly financial reports with Director for revenue, expenses, and variance from budget (+/- 10% within lines, neutral or positive net year to date).
  • Works with staff to ensure that reports and billing/invoicing are submitted promptly and with the necessary quality.
  • Assess program quality, utilizing results to improve participant and programmatic planning.
  • Maintains personal caseload outcomes according to program expectations.
  • Responsible for meeting program outcomes and grant/program requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
